It's never easy to talk about the darkness and heartbreak experienced by some of the world's most vulnerable people, like abandoned babies. However, we are called to run into chaos and crisis to fight for those in their darkest hour of need. Every day, it is estimated that three infants are abandoned on the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa. For every baby found alive, at least two are found dead. Many babies are born into extreme poverty. Some women find themselves in abusive situations, and desperate mothers feel they have no choice but to leave their babies.
The Tim Tebow Foundation has partnered with Impact Africa to provide a life-saving alternative to aid the massive crisis of baby abandonment in South Africa through TTF Impact Baby Rescue. These baby homes provide safety, top-level care, nutrition, health care, wellness, and the opportunity for a forever family. Through the Counseling Centers and Baby Safes, we can also prevent baby abandonment while counseling moms in their darkest hour of need, rescue abandoned babies placed in baby safes, and provide life-long family care for babies through adoption.
