Faith

Love
The Tim Tebow Foundation exists to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. We strive to fight for the Most Vulnerable People in the world—the MVP—through our work in our four main focuses in Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation, Orphan Care + Prevention, Profound Medical Needs, and Special Needs Ministry.
The inception of the vision that would eventually become the Tim Tebow Foundation came to Tim when he was just 15 years old, serving in the jungles of the Philippines. In a remote village, Tim met a boy named Sherwin, who was born with his feet on backwards.
Among his people, Sherwin was seen as cursed, insignificant, and a throwaway. But when Tim met him, he felt God put it on his heart that Sherwin wasn't a throwaway, but rather worthy of love and infinitely valuable. During his time there, and for long after he left the Philippines, Tim began to feel a tug at his heart to steer his life toward fighting for vulnerable boys and girls just like Sherwin. He felt a calling to love on and serve the Most Vulnerable People in the world.
Before that day, Tim focused his time on the successful pursuit of his athletic goals. He set his sights so fiercely on winning championships, setting records, and being an MVP on every team. But the day he met Sherwin, the direction of his pursuit began to shift. That day, God opened his eyes to see things—and people—in a way he had never viewed them before. And just as Jesus intentionally sought to serve vulnerable people during His time on earth, God was calling Tim to set his sights on a new MVP - the Most Vulnerable People on earth.
The day Tim met Sherwin, the feeling of a divine calling began to stir within him—one to serve the hurting, the marginalized, and those trapped in darkness, one to share the truth of the Gospel and the inherent value of being a child of God, and one to bring Faith, Hope and Love to the world's Most Vulnerable People. Over the years at TTF, many others have answered yes to that same call. God filled their hearts with the same urgency that sparked in Tim that day to do something for someone in need.
Since 2010, TTF has been answering that call and fighting to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. Having impacted lives in 90 nations and counting, TTF continues to pursue the vision of finding, reaching, and fighting for the Most Vulnerable People in every country worldwide while sharing with them about the God who created them in His own image and who loves them with a perfect and lasting love.
We’re believers in a big God. We’re believers in people. God’s plans for this ministry have always been far greater than anything we could have dreamed. We’re believers that big and lasting change is possible for a broken and hurting world.
Every single person has inherent worth and value. To love God is to serve God, and to serve Him is to serve others. From people being rescued from the grips of human trafficking to children with disabilities meeting their forever families through the foundation’s Adoption Aid program, they all are image-bearers.
There is urgency in the mission. It cannot wait until a more convenient time. For millions of orphans, the time is NOW. For millions of children in developing countries with limited or no access to healthcare, the time is NOW. If we don’t act now, who will?
When we come together and believe the mission is more important than individual credit, lives will be changed. Anything is possible.
Don’t forget the moment God changed your life. Don’t forget the moment He challenged you to join the fight. Don’t forget that you have a specific role to play in bringing Faith, Hope and Love to a world in need.
May you challenge others to remember, and not only remember, but to act, pray, serve, and give. May you challenge them to take whatever skills and resources God has provided and use them to meet the needs of others. May we each remember that He loved us first and equipped and called us to love others.
At the Tim Tebow Foundation, we…
- The mission, the team, those we serve
- That which has been given to us by the Lord
- Provide a covering
- Value the perspective that does not come naturally
- God, teammates, mentors
- Gather more than your own experience/education/revelation, having humility
- Know when to fight; have discernment and courage
- Don't be a fake foxhole-er, be real
- Have compassion, suffer, sacrifice
- Don’t look away, don’t seek comfort, don’t compartmentalize the pain
- Rejoice in all things, be grateful for the call/the win/the rescue
- The joy of the Lord is our strength, joy comes in the morning even with the burden of responsibility
- We don’t compartmentalize or put it down (time, focus, energy); rejuvenation and rest only serve to fuel future work…for the sake of doing more
- Driven for excellence because monsters are chasing Elly
- It’s a spiritual fight…a battle between good and evil; evil is at work – are we?
We believe there is power when we come together. In addition to programs and initiatives operated by TTF, we also have a foundational strategy of partnering with called people and organizations to run faster, reach further, and serve more vulnerable people in need. We believe that partnerships are much more than 1+1=2. There is inherent strength in the body of Christ, working as one to fight darkness and solve complex problems faced across the globe.
In Ephesians 2:10, it says that we are "…created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." At TTF, we believe that each one of us has not only been saved from something but that we have also been saved for something. If you believe you are called to fight alongside TTF, if your heart aches for the hurting people around the world, we invite you to answer the call and join our mission today.
