Why It Matters
The Problem
Although rich in cultural history and diversity, the developing nation of Mexico experiences significant disparities in wealth, access to education, and social status. Many families in the country who suffer from poverty also lack resources for children with special needs. Parents of children with special needs are often unaware of their child's diagnosis and are left feeling confused, alone, and at times like they have no other option but to neglect their child, resulting in them being handed over to social services.
The Solution
The Tim Tebow Foundation comes alongside Back2Back Ministries in Mazatlán, Mexico, to meet the spiritual, physical, educational, emotional, and social needs of orphaned and vulnerable children with special needs through Rancho de los Niños. Rancho provides a loving community for children to grow up in family-style housing, receiving the love and care they deserve. Through TTF's partnership with Back2Back, we offer hope through the Gospel so children can overcome hardships and turn to Jesus as their ultimate provider.
