Doctors Said He Wouldn't Survive, But God Had Other Plans

Stories like Sebastian’s remind us that God’s plans are always greater than any prognosis.

When he was little, Sebastian was in a terrible car accident and declared brain dead. But God had other plans. Against all odds, he miraculously woke up.

After the accident, Sebastian’s aunt, Anastasia, became his full-time caregiver. She sold vegetables at the market and often carried Sebastian on her back out of necessity.

She was desperate to find physical therapy for Sebastian but didn’t know where to turn for support. Then, someone told her about Tebow Down Guatemala (TDG), a ministry of the Tim Tebow Foundation.

At TDG, Sebastian was welcomed into a loving community and began therapy. Anastasia’s hope was simple: “If everybody else can walk, why not him?”

Today, thanks to God’s provision and years of faithful care and therapy, Sebastian is taking steps of his own! Another miracle!

We’re honored to walk alongside Sebastian and Anastasia, and now, with the opening of our new TDG flagship campus in Guatemala City, hundreds of children will have the chance to experience transformation and miracles like his!
