Parent from Bethel Church
“The cheers from him are overwhelming. He is so happy and it feels so honoring to see him celebrated and enjoyed, just like any young adult at a prom would be celebrated and enjoyed!”
Parent from Guntersville First United Methodist Church
"Four years ago, Reece attended his first Night to Shine prom. It was that night that I saw hope in front of me. Hope for my son’s future. Hope that there are genuine people who truly care for and love people with special needs.”
Parent from Bethel Baptist Church
“I thought God had given up on me and abandoned me. Tonight (at Night to Shine) I know God loves my child and me and that the church loves and accepts us for who we are. My faith in God has been restored.”
Volunteer from Wiggins Community Church
"I’ve never been really big on this whole church and ‘God thing,’ but seeing you all live it (through Night to Shine) and not just say it makes me think that I need to know more.”
Sibling from Southridge Reformed Church
"I want to sincerely express my gratitude to all those who made the event possible. My sister, 64, always wanted to go to prom and she finally had her wish come true. I couldn’t stop crying as she walked down the red carpet. The joy on her face was priceless.”
