Tamia recently underwent the first of multiple procedures to correct her clubbed feet and hands. Though she will have more surgeries in her future, this courageous girl is well on her way to walking without assistance. We are so honored to come alongside CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe and serve children like Tamia by funding life-changing procedures.

One month after losing their daughter to cancer, Junior’s parents fulfilled his sister’s final wish-for her younger brother with Down syndrome to become independent. Over the last five years, Junior has not only made significant strides through therapies received, but the family has walked from unimaginable darkness into a beautiful light through the faithfulness of Down Guatemala’s ministry. This expansion of Down Guatemala made possible by the partnership with TTF, we will be able to serve even more children and families like Junior’s.

We were beaten, tortured, and men would use us in ways that were not human. I saw so many ladies die because they had been tortured, kidnapped, and dismembered by the men. People who needed human sacrifices for their witchcraft would come and steal women off of the streets, and take them to the witch doctor because they knew no one cared. Once I was sold to a cannibal. I didn’t even know until I reached his house and saw all of his weapons. I was so scared. I escaped and slept in a banana plantation as he searched for me that night. We weren’t considered to be human beings.

Baby Boy B’s mom connected with Impact Africa when potential fallout over her unplanned pregnancy prompted her to reach out for help. After a period of counseling, this courageous young woman chose to place her baby up for adoption. Though born premature, the baby is now thriving at the center and will continue to be well-loved and taken care of until he is placed with his forever family!
